- Plan a timetable and stick to your deadlines.
- Clarify any doubts you may have on your understanding of the subjects.
- Have a special place to study. Take into consideration the noise levels, lighting, safety, temperature, and availability of materials.

- Study with a friend so you can quiz each other, compare notes and predict test questions. This also gives you the opportunity to explain concepts to others so that you can test your understanding of the subject.
- Go through past paper exam questions and take notes of the trend in the questions over the last three (3) year period.
- Make short notes while studying.
- Minimise social interactions that could disrupt your studies and take up a lot of your time.
- Do rote memory tasks and review, especially details, just before you fall asleep.
- If you get tired or bored, switch the activity, subject or environment. Stop studying when you are no longer being productive
